“This upcoming conference is recommended for those who are interested in public life and what Reformed thinking, with its Protestant roots and Christian values, can add to it,” says Gábor Zila, Secretary of the Reformed Culture and Public Life Foundation, which organises the Conference of Reformed Intellectuals in Balatonszárszó. As he explains, they are trying to involve the younger generations in the discussions about our future – this year’s theme to be discussed is Christian democracy.

At the Conference of Reformed Intellectuals in Szárszó, Zoltán Balog, a Reformed Pastor and the Minister of Human Capacities, engaged in a dialogue about professional ethics and the future of Hungary. Balog says that the government welcomes every child, whether born as a result of natural or assisted conception and he gave an interview to Parókia web portal to discuss this more in-depth.

Reformed Intelligentsia Gather in Szárszó

From August 24-27, various issues of public and social life were discussed at the Conference of Reformed Intellectuals held at the SDG Conference Centre in Szárszó. “The mission duty of Christian people is to provide those around us with a viable and appealing community alternative, so that they wish to and can and join our communities,” said Vice Rector József Zsengellér on the opening day of the Conference.
